Day 295
Compared to yesterday suuuuch a wonderful day today! I had work from 12-9, doubled my wages in tips like a boss, then Jonny collected me from the hut and we went to the cinema to see Contagion. Good film, very good film! Didn't even go out tonight, casual Saturday night in and it was fantastic. Oh, yeah, I didn't really take any photos other than this one, which I'm pretty sure was the consequence of me rugby tackling Jonny and him being surprised at my strength. I'm a crafty one!

Day 294
This is one of our developed designs for the hyperbolic paraboloid, which basically meant our little group of three (2 guys and myself) had to cram into the disabled toilet to use the only mirror we could think of. Cue "tactical" decisions of when to leave so that it didn't look too suspicious. The review today went okay, but I'm struggling to like one of the tutors in particular at the moment. But hey ho, it's Friday!

Day293
With a review tomorrow, this is what studio ends up looking like. It's an absolute tip. Please believe me when I say I try to keep it organised, but I actually just don't think it's possible, we're expected to do to much in not enough time for me to really care about keeping everything in its place.

292/365

Day 292
This, my friends, is a Hyperbolic Paraboloid, and it's what we're now basing our Pavilion design around. Not quite sure how, but we'll figure something good out I'm sure. I didn't go into uni today because I was working a 5-10 at night, and it's such a long walk to campus, but I did a hefty amount of work at the flat so it's cool. Work, now, work was fantastic tonight. I was actually on table for the full shift, and I doubled my wages through tips. Actually so happy!

291/365

Day 291
And making his first appearance in my blog, it's Gus, who sits opposite me in studio. Today was, hmm, a mixed bag. They didn't really like our design, but we have some pointers to work from so I guess that's good... Badminton was good tonight though, and afterwards I went for a little trip into town for Rhys's 18th, and ended up staying at exo until 2. Because Exo on a Tuesday is the most fantastic place on the planet.

290/365

Day 290
This is our first design for our pavilion. Genuinely the worst design block I've ever experienced , but after going through about 6 A3 sheets, and getting my mega-chunky marker out, we came up with this. I'm quite liking it, but we have a review tomorrow to go over it so I guess we'll see. Oh, also, it was decided today that we're off to Berlin on our study tour next year! Shame I won't be doing this blog then, there'll be some good photos I'm sure.

289/365

Day 289
Fantastic film. Mum ran me back up to Aberdeen today, and took me for a little bit of shopping, so now I have plenty food for the foreseeable future. Then Jonny came over and we watched the Truman Show, which I last watched when I was in Int II English. Man it's a brilliant film, Jim Carey at his best (he's done a lot of rubbish)

288/365

Day 288
Now, a word of warning dear readers: Tonight, I attended a wonderful concert, full marks to Noah and the Whale for a fantastic night of music, which I experienced along with my sister. Now, I decided not to take my camera (cause I kind of bashed it on adoption night and I'm a bit worried about it) so it was left to my sister to provide me with the means with which to take a photograph for today's blog post. So I took some fantastic pictures, and some films and was happy with my efforts. But it transpires that Jennifer has lost the cable that connects her camera to her laptop, so we can't import the photos and instead I have to find a picture someone else took at the gig and burden you with this crazy long excuse. I hope you find it in your hearts to forgive me.

287/365

Day 287
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful grandparents Bert and Shiela! Tonight after a fairly stressful but fulfilling day at uni, we went out for a rather classy meal for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Now, you must know by now that I like my food, and that I'm the worlds greatest cheapskate, so that's why I'm nursing a fairly obvious food baby in this family photo. 3 courses? Yes please, hardly even touched the sides. Tonight was also the night that my family got to meet the wonderful Mr Elsmlie, who in a slightly awkward twist of events ended up sitting at the head of the table with me. Way to intimidate the poor boy!

286/365

Day 286
I think my group may hate me for this, but basically as soon as I had finished my portion of the work for the project we have due tomorrow, I decided to bail and head home, because not only was I shattered, but I'm determined not to let this course steal my entire life, not like last year! So here's all the planning information, history report and ownership survey for Rubislaw Terrace, all done on photoshop because I've pretty much got that computer program down now, only a semester too late...

285/365

Day 285
Now here's some evidence as to just how drunk I was at adoption night... As you may know, I am fairly far behind with this blog due to the fact my life has been consumed with concern for buildings, and so I am writing this entry about a month later than the actual date. I can honestly say that I only just noticed that Jonny is in the background of this photograph. I do vaguely recollect them being there, but I don't remember spending any time with the guys, just dancing a lot with my children and telling them how much I love them. Oh dear. I think it's time to stop drinking wine on nights out, it never ends well!

284/365

Day 284
Adoption night! This is my wonderful family, 1 3rd year, 2 2nd years and 2 1st years. It developed into a bit of a messy night due to a bottle of wine and my generosity towards my newfound children. Also, I have developed a bit of a habit of going to Exo whatever the plans for the night are... For example, tonight the plan was to head to Korova, but after that 4th drink I decided that the best way to look after your children is to take them to Motown night and embarrass yourself with cringe-y dancing. What am I like?

283/365

Day 283
Finiiiiished! And I'm pretty chuffed with it, hopefully the lecturers will be too. Bit of a faff getting it into uni, I was about 5 minutes down the road when it started to rain, so I had bolt back to the flat, get a maheeeesive folder to wrap it up in and then pace it to make it to uni for pin up time... But I'm seriously loving Design Philosophy this semester, I think I might be the only person in the course...

282/365

Day 282
Hello best friends, scale ruler and propelling pencil... The columns should be finished by tomorrow, all going well. Although I did have to turn down an extra shift today, my manager phoned me in a bit of a flap, we got inspected today and they obviously wanted me to show off my well gid door handling skills...

281/365

Day 281
And more drawing. These columns will be my life for the weekend. Apart from work, where I'm still on the door and not been put properly on tables, so much rage, I want tips! Although this not going out is good for both my bank balance an my liver, getting so much work done too. And I think these columns could end up looking pretty sweet!

280/365

Day 280
This is the development I've made with my columns. I have two sheets to do by Monday, A1. This is going to be fantastic, I'm very sure I won't get it finished but hey ho....Quite night in for a Friday, look at me being all smart and student-y and not drinking!

279/365

Dy 279
The night descended slightly into chaos and disorder when we left the Union. Because it was sports night, we supposedly got cheap entry into liquid, but we forgot to get the proper bands so we were like "meh, let's just go anyway". And by we, I mean me, Jonny, Jen and Finnigan. However, once we arrived at the dive that is Liquid Nightclub, Jen's I.D got declined so we all just went home. And let's all giggle at Jonny having to go to uni today in his clothes from last night, with a borrowed notepad!

278/365

Day 278
First badminton club night out of the year tonight, just a few drinks at the Union. A decent little turn out, it'd be better if more people came along though and were more up for getting a little bitty more drunk... I was the camera person, a self appointed role, but I'll be honest I let the side down and didn't get many snaps. Must say I am rather enjoying having so many different little groups of friends.

277/365

Day 277
And so the work starts! I've been assigned the history and planning reports for our new project, so I went and had a hefty little library session to get my information gathering started. Badminton tonight too, walking 15k on a Tuesday as well as 2 hours worth of badminton fiar takes it out of you!

276/365

Day 276
You know how I love a blurry photo that means nothing. I think this was an accidental self timer incident, I was trying to get a "flat photo" of me and gavin but instead you are left with my fringe and Gavin's arm. I got in from uni late today, like 9, I started my design philosophy drawings early see. But it's ridiculous that I've been back for less than a week and I'm already losing my life to buildings...

275/365

Day 275
Incase I was in any doubt, I am now entirely certain that I'm back at uni. Sunday night and the books have been cracked open, both to write a historical report on Rubislaw Terrace, and to figure out how we're meant to draw the Orders for design philosophy. All my endeavours today were aided by the fact I was not nursing a hangover, because I was wonderfully refined last night. Like a boss.

274/365

Day 274
Today was the day that I finally met the parents! After work I hopped in a taxi and headed down to Portlethen to the Gold Club, and behaved myself fantastically! I had 3 glasses of wine and didn't make a fool of myself. Unless you count joining in the Time Warp with them, but it'd be rude otherwise. We were going to head into town after, me and Jonny, but we couldn't be bothered so we went home and watched the Rugby. Grand night.
