Day 85
It's ceilidh time! Architecture Charity Ball at the Park Inn tonight, so some of us headed along for a drink, a dance, and most of all, the buffet. It was a decent night, I kept my heels on for 7 hours. Now, they're massive heels. And I danced an entire ceilidh in them, and walked home. Let's just say I wasn't much up for walking the next day... My poor, poor feet...

Day 84
Studio day today. Bit of model making, bit of critting, bit of getting slated, bit of banter with the tutors, y'know. The boys in my group stole the camera, and took a couple of beauts, so here's Niall. Hiyaaaaa. Nice flask.

83/365

Day 83
I got one of the best presents of my entire life today. Dom brought it back from Paris, a proper vintage real life vinyl! It's even in FRENCH, look at the red oval! Woah, it's so super super super cool! And it's Stevie Wonder. I seem to have turned into an over-excited wreck. I don't even care. LOOK WHAT I GOT!

82/365

Day 82
Made a start to my new project today: A house for two professors on the Garthdee site we'd previously surveyed. It's a bit of a step up from what we've done before, we've been given sizes me need to stick to, and all sorts of restraints, but I guess this is what we're going to be doing for the rest of our lives, so no complaining! Cheeky dinner at the Bobbin for dinner as a welcome home too, not a bad day all round.

81/365

Day 81
A busy day topped off by my first trip to Exo with Becca and Louise, and their mental music friends. Love a bit of Motown, and I wasn't even near drunk. Which if you saw Becca's photos from the night, you probably wouldn't believe. She makes me look lovely, honestly...

80/365

Day 80
So my post-London health kick starts today. After a week of eating out and he-uuuuuge breakfasts at the hostel, it's time to get some fruit and veg on the go again. And some exercise probably wouldn't go amiss, but I still can't quite breathe from being ill. I'm such a healthy specimen.

79/365

Day 79
After a truly beautiful 11 hour sleep to regain some strength, I awoke to find that Aberdeen had been transformed into a sunshine bathed paradise. Well, it was sunny... I met up with Louise for a cheeky walk along the beach in the sun, complete with Lidl's finest ice lollies. If the rest of the week is like this, it'll be grand

78/365

Day 78
In our limited free time in London, we took a cheeky trip to Camden market for a browse, and I ended up buying this beautiful scarf. And I bartered for it! Necklace and a ring bought too. The 7 hour train journey back to Aberdeen was not enjoyable though, it just dragged on and on and on... Early night for me, shattered!

77/365

Day 77
Our last night in London, so we gathered together the booze and had a right piss up in the hostel bar. It's been a good trip, we're all slightly knackered though! First Year Architects, you're all legends, and we've had some cracking banter. Over and out!

76/365

Day 76
More touristy places today, but we did get a lovely trip to the Tate Modern. The whole class looked a little bit "tender" today after the night out before, and even though it was Paddy's day, we opted for an early night to try and regain some strength in for the final day. Oh, and we splashed the cash and went for a Pizza Express for dinner, mmmm.

75/365

Day 75
A travel day took us as far out of the center of London as the new Olympics site, and the Thames barrier. Which was actually pretty boring. At night we took a trip to Brick Lane for a beaut of a curry, and then into town for a proper night out in London, complete with cheap drinks, a black cab home and the wonderful quote "...but I'm drunk on the tube!".

Oh, and spot the womble in the photo above...

74/365

Day 75
Our first day of "study tour" around London started off pretty well, with us looking at museums and the RIBA headquarters and suchlike, but soon enough it descended into complete tourist territory, with Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. Abby got herself stuck on the Lions and basically created a bit of a scene, taking about 5 minutes to work up the courage to get down! At night we took a bus to Kieran's house for an unbelievable curry made by his mum, and just some general banter. I like London so far.

73/365

Day 73
And so to London. An 8am train from Aberdeen took us to King's Cross for 3 in the afternoon, and although the journey didn't seem as long as it was, it was still pretty boring. The Hostel seems okay, a bit grotty, but what can you expect really? Our first night in London consisted of us drunkenly running around outside St Paul's Cathedral, and then across the Millennium Bridge. Only in London Town, I guess...

72/365

Day 72
Packing for London was more difficult than I thought. The weather forecasts say it should be pretty nice weather, but I can't risk not taking things for all eventualities. Notice my 2 boxes of Alpen bars, I'm well keen for the cereal bars, they're probably getting munched on the 7 hour train journey. An early night didn't really work out, I thin I was too psyched, still awake at half 1. And I have a 6am start. Grand,

71/365

Day 71
The jacket hunt concluded today with this absolute bargain. A lovely long grey coat from Urban Outfitters, and for £100 less than it was meant to be! Although the day was a stressful, what with all the rain/snow/general bad weather in Edinburgh, it wasn't as lovely as I'd envisaged. Ah well, back to the sunbathed north tomorrow. Aye right.

70/365

Day 70
Another crit today, and for those of you who are interested in Site Analysis, here's something for you to get excited about. For the rest of you, sorry, but it's literally all I did today. Apart from go home to Fife for the weekend. I'm rather looking forward to a cheeky trip to Edinburgh tomorrow for some guilt shopping with father (which goes something like "ohhhh, that's nice, shame I can't afford it...")

69/365

Day 69
This is the most attractive picture of me ever, it must be said, but I'm being over-excited in Niall's well cool pimpin' classic mini, so it's acceptable. We took a trip to a building site today, to check out foundations and what not. Classic keen architecture students.

68/365

Day 68
I found my favourite view on the Uni campus today, when we were researching the views from our chosen site. The way the Round Tower sort of peeks through the trees is really nice, no-one really thinks about it, they're all to preoccupied with the river. Aside from this little "moment", I won my first ever singles match for the uni team against Heriot Watt!

67/365

Day 67
The contour model of the site finally got started today. It's around 1m x 2m, so it's taking up the majority of the desk space which is quite irritating. The group did get into the swing of things though, had a little supply chain going, "cooking with gas"...

66/365

Day 66
Just another normal day at uni, we stayed in quite late though and caught a lovely sunset from the studio windows. When we eventually left, a cheeky trip to the Bobbin for dinner was the order of the day to chill out.

65/365

Day 65
Quiet day today, still recovering from Friday night, and trying to get some work done. It was a beautiful day though, so the walk to Asda for the weekly shop was quite enjoyable. On the way, you have to walk over Broad Hill, and today I noticed that there are all these signs on it, with lots of funny instructions. Turns out it's some art installation (obviously), but it makes you smile.

64/365

Day 64
Okay, technically this was taken on the Friday night out, but it was taken after midnight so it counts as my Saturday picture, okay? Another classic night out with the crew (minus Kjersti), which I was only persuaded about after a cheeky post-uni Strawberry cider at the Bobbin. My first ever trip to Tiger Tiger, and it wasn't too bad (not really my scene if you get me). Saturday itself? Wasted day. Two drawings and one set of lecture notes typed up. I'm a disgrace.

63/365

Day 63
An entire day sitting at a desk with a calculator, and this is all I have to show for it. Nothing has ever been this mind numbing. Ever.

62/365

Day 62
For the 1st time this year, I watched Up! It may sound like an odd statement, but it is my favourite film, and I have no reservations in saying that. No film makes me happy inside as much as up. And when it's coupled with haribo and custard creams, I doubt I could feel like any more of a child...

61/365

Day 61
A lot of my life recently has revolved around "Getting My Geek On", and tonight was no exception. One of the clubs was holding a "Geek Chic" night, so five of us dragged out the braces, shirts and glasses again. I put my hair in plaits, and it actually took me 40 minutes to get it right, because everytime I did it, one of the was squint. And the freckles were applied after the drinking had commenced, and to my horror I found out in the morning that one half of my face had been decorated with a black permanent marker.
You've got to love my friends.

60/365

Day 60
Spring has sprung, and so we decided to take advantage of the blazing sunshine (okay, I may be exaggerating) and get our surveying for the next project done as soon as possible. But because only 3 of our group turned up, instead of 6, it still took us 3 whole hours. 3 hours running around on a hill with sticks and levels and a measuring tape. The only good thing is that we're now ahead of other groups in studio. For once.
