Day 233
I apologise for tainting your eyes with this image, but I can safely say I did not take it. As mentioned in yesterday's post, I was very keen on sharing my photo taking duties around last night. Infact, at this point in the night/morning, I was most likely tucked up in my bed after being taken home for being a little bit too merry. So yeah, Scooby being sick. Enjoy that.

232/365

Day 232
So despite the lack of capes (I was really really excited to be running around Aberdeen in a cape), Finnigan's party was still good. Well, what I can remember of it. I splashed out an got a taxi home from work (the driver called me an alcoholic, the cheek!) and forgot to have dinner. Rookie mistake. One drink later and I was thrusting my camera upon others and demanding they look after it. Oops.

231/365

Day 231
Again, I was working a 5-9, so I spent the rest of my day making my superhero outift for Finnigan's 21st, which I'm going to after work tomorrow. I cut up a duvet cover for my cape, and bought bright blue opaque tights and an orange top. I'd like to thank Luke Temple for the name: Fluorescent Fighter. However, upon returning from work I was greeted with the distressing news that the theme had been cancelled due to too many people not having an outfit. I actually cried.

230/365

I was supposed to have today off work, but a phonecall yesterday resulted in me being drafted in to the Hut for a 5-9 shift. So the rest of my day was spent playing piano, guitar, and tidying the flat. I've had such an exciting life this week...

229/365

Day 229
Mmmmm. Jonathan cooked me dinner tonight, and it was actually amazing. I'm not sure what it was called, but there was chicken, leeks, potatoes, cream, mustard, and other things and it was ACE. Aside from that, I drank coffee, read Jack Kerouac, and double booked myself. Oh, and we went to see the Inbetweener's Movie, which was actually better than I expected! The tv series was hilarious, but I thought the film could be a bit touch and go, y'know, overdoing it a bit, but it was just right!

228/365

Day 228
First day off work for a while, and the sun was shining! Well, in the morning anyway. I decided to go for a little shop in town, got myself a new dress and a new jacket! Apart from that it was a pretty quiet day, rather chilled, I may have gotten a little bit bored but at least I wasn't working again. More of the same tomorrow please!

227/365

Day 227
My feet. My poor poor feet. I have treated them awfully this summer. They are most certainly feeling the effects of 4 9 hour shifts in a row, they've been throbbing and itchy since I finished and took my work shoes off. The schools are back now though, so no more buffet shifts for me! Quiet, happy hut. Well, apart from the weekends...

226/365

Day 226
After our success at the Golf Club, we got driven into town in what must be one the the best car journeys I've ever had! In typical fashion, we heading to exo, where the tunes were belting and the drinks were flowing. All round, it was an enjoyable night! What was not so enjoyable, however, was the 12-9 shift that followed it today. After 3 hours of sleep, a few too many drinks and 6 hours with my heels on, I wasn't quite in the right state for work. Especially when we had 3 kids throwing up. And especially not when my manager asked me to stay on an hour later. My feet have never quite known pain like they did tonight.

225/365

Day 225
Now for the maddest day of my life so far (possibly). Up at 8, I played badminton from 10-11, got taken straight to work, worked from 12-9 (It was a nice shift), got picked up from work and taken to Michael and Stuart's 21st at Portlethen Golf Club. Once there, we won this wonderful selection of good in the quiz (flumps?! Retro!), had a few drinks, danced the Cha Cha Slide, and ha some pasta/stovies. And I had my heels on for the last part of the night.

224/365

Day 224
My "oh so crazy, I may not actually survive" weekend started today, with a 12-9 shift at work, which was followed by me heading straight to town for Laura Mills (Pizza Hut Legend)'s leaving do. I had to keep in mind the fact that I have a lot on this weekend, and so I only had one drink, and when everyone else went to Aurum, I wandered back to the flat.

223/365

Day 223
I had today off work, and it was sunny! I've been pretty lucky this summer for not working when the sun'd been shining. We finally ticked a few things off my summer list today, including lunch at the Breadmaker (a very nice mozzarella and tomato sandwich) and a trip to the Art Gallery to see the Wildlife Photography Exhibit (which was amazing). And to top things off, Gavin and I went to see Super 8, which was very good, very gasp inducing.

222/365

Day 222
More pizza hut stuff for you. My first 12-9 shift of the week today, it was almost bearable. It was confirmed today that I shall be moved to tables at somepoint in the near future, which is grand. Oh, and they've recently updated the pizza hut playlist, so today I was treated to both Vampire Weekend and Mumford and Sons! Gavin came back today, so when I got in we watched Amelie, which seemed enjoyable, but I wasn't really concentrating on it...

221/365

Day 221
Here's an exterior photo of the lovely posh (and slightly Palladian - Got to get my brain into architecture mode again) Hotel that I was staying in last night! Absolutely gorged myself at breakfast, then got dropped back at my flat to fiddle around with the new laptop (his name has been changed to Lloyd) and the keyboard that is now dominating my room. In the evening, myself and Jonathan went to Ma Camerons for dinner (and a discussion with a local alcoholic about shoes), then watched Submarine. For some reason, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time, but it's still a thoroughly good film.

220/365

Day 220
Off work today, and so Mum took me shopping (I got a lovely new dress) and then we headed out to my Grandparent's for lunch and dinner. Afterwards, we toddled along the road to the Thainstone House Hotel, which is super posh, and which is where my Mum decided to spend the night, rather than sleep on a camp-bed on my Grandparent's floor. And she let me come with her! Hello double bed, fancy decor and free buffet breakfast. For one night, I lived like a Queen!

219/365

Day 219
Hello new laptop! Mum came up today (and came to pizza hut for her lunch, just to make me squirm) and brought with her my laptop and my keyboard! The new laptop has been christened "Atticus", after the baby in the new Pizza Hut children's menus (no joke), and is currently being laden with my entire iTunes library and some pretty pictures. This may take a while.

218/365

Day 218
Clearly the most flattering of my posts so far. But every other picture I took included my face. I got myself a real bargain today at the shops (Topshop, to be specific). A £35 skirt down to £7, and a £12 top down to £5, and a student discount on top. It's quite a fashion forward outfit for myself too, I felt rather proud in my stylistic abilities! Other than that, I went for lunch at Vodka Rev, which I'm suspicious gave me awful stomach cramps later, and I got another 5 hours in at the hut. I'm actually really enjoying work at the moment!

217/365

Day 217
Here's Jim, munching on some garlic bread in the Pizza Hut staffroom. I was on another 12-9 today, with the added bonus of a Stag Party Booking! In probably the biggest stroke of genius I've had all summer, I blew up 14 promotional balloons that said "CUCUMBER GIANT" on them for the party, because they'd actually asked for balloons. Not even my manager got the joke I was making. I feel rather under appreciated. Other than that, it was another nice shift, nothing too busy, just nice and steady. Managed to get someone to cover my lunch shift tomorrow, so I'll actually get 3 hours of a weekend

216/365

Day 216
Say hello to the Pizza Hut staffroom guys! I was working a 12-9 today, so I didn't get much chance to do anything else, given that the walk to/from work is about 40 minutes. It was a busy lunch shift, but the dinner shift wasn't too bad, I'm pretty sure that between 8 and 9 I sat like 2 tables? I like that sort of end to the night, means I can chill, do some cutlery, clean the bar, put some hats into the menus, fun stuff like that.

215/365

Day 215
It came it came it came it came it came! I ordered my Noah and the Whale t-shirt last week, because I was feeling reckless while internet shopping, and today it finally arrived. This is possibly the earliest in the day that I've ever written a blog entry (it's just gone 12), but I don't think I'm risking anything more exciting happening today, because I'm working tonight, and I think you'e probably seen enough pictures of Pizza Hut uniform/paraphernalia to last you a lifetime, haven't you?

214/365

Day 214
I did nothing today. Well, that's a slight lie, I went for lunch with my Auntie and bought pens at a Papermill shop. Aside from that, I played guitar. And read a book. And played some more guitar. And read a different book.

I'm actually looking forward to work tomorrow.

213/365

Day 213
Today was a Submarine based day. Not only did I finish the book, I also bought the film. In a bizarre twist, I actually think I prefer the film to the book, which is a change for me. That said, even after seeing it the first time I was pretty confident that it was one of my favourite films ever. It might even be better that Up!, and we all know how much I love Up! Aside from reading and shopping, I spent my day tidying the flat. I've only got one room left to do!

212/365

Day 212
On the first day of my little 3 day break from the Hut, I decided to a) clean the flat and b) start sorting my life out. The process began in the kitchen, which was a state, and tomorrow I shall move on to the livingroom. I then went to Books and Beans for a 2 and a half hour lunch (we got chucked out at closing...), before going to town and spending some moolah. Which I now actually have.

The health kick continued today with Bean Burgers for dinner, followed by a 6k run during which I nearly died because the burgers had not been digested. Yummy.

211/365

Day 211
The health kick starts here. Of late, I have been coming home from work after not really eating all day, and then gorging myself on whatever can be found in the flat. Now that I have worked my way through most of the snack-type foods, I have decided not to buy any more. So when I left work tonight, I popped to asda and bought mushrooms, onions, pesto, milk and pod peas! And yeah, I went to bed at like, 11. I was shattered.

210/365

Day 210
There's finally something on our livingroom wall! I did this print in AdvArt, and I brought it back up with me to bring some interest to the flat.

In other news, today work was busy. Very very busy. I had to stay late. And then I went against everything I had said all week, and went out. Although I didn't really drink very much at all, and I didn't even stay out all night. To be honest, it wasn't really worth it. But oh well, it's not like I spent much money!

209/365

Day 209
Today at work, everything fell apart. I arrived at 11:45 for my shift, and the front door was locked... This was slightly odd, as the restaurant opens at half 11. Anyhow, I went and knocked on the fire door, only to be let in by my rather flustered manager telling me that the entire computer system was down, and so we couldn't process any orders. To begin with, it was like a snow day, because we all thought we'd get sent home, but after like, an hour, it was decided that we'd open the restaurant anyway, and rock it "old school" with hand written orders to the kitchen, and hand-written receipts worked out with a calculator.

This did, however, mean I got to take orders, because the only barrier between me and the highs of waitressing is the computer system, on which I have not been trained. So this is my first pizza hut order. And the table I got to serve were so lovely.
